I then trawled internet sites as I certainly wasn't going to part with my hard earned money to MasterCare for them to come and reset it. Then I came across a site that told me to pull the plug out the wall for an hour then plug it back in, then switch the vcr on then press the up arrow and the record buttons together at the same time for 5 or so seconds, then hurray it was unlocked but not set back to factory settings so I got another 3 try's of entering my pin again which i got correct, so if you know the pin then you can try this. Failing that I have the manual which came with the vcr if you tell me the section your looking for I'll scan and send the part to yourself but you would have to send an email address to send the document.
