SIPURA SPA-2000 Installation Guide Version 1.1. Download the firmware 2.0.13g from the Sipura support site (www.sipura.com) or from your reseller to your PC. Aug 18, 2017 sipura. There is also a link to anonymous downloads for Linksys products that moved to Cisco. SPA-3000 Software. Hello, I own a Sipura SPA 3000 with Firmward version 2.0.13(GWg) I know it's an EOL'ed model but notice echo problems with my wireless handset (some Uniden DECT.
Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure that the aforementioned setting is on by default - but I don't recall what happened in my instance. If firmware upgrade fails, can I downgrade to previous version? You could try the Sipura recovery. Depending on the mode of failure, you may also end up with a brick. If yes, will it save the congi or I have to reconfig? The config will be saved, however if you have problems it's generally a good idea to do a factory reset and reinput settings again. You're thinking, what on earth is this guy digging up a 5 year old thread for?
I guess enough of us asked. I always meant to get around to buying an ILS but now it seems I don't need to.
Yeah - well it takes some doing, but works for me using my uniden 2.4GHz handsets. (DSS2455) Note: This is my setup, works for me, but may not work for you. With the Uniden I now use the Talk key (as a flash key) and ignore the call wait key on the top right of the keypad. I dialed 73738#, I think that's a factory reset. Anyway it started working after changing the value of Line1.UseDNSSRV.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This guide has been prepared with Sipura firmware version 3.1.10d. If you are using older firmware, the web configuration screen may not look the same as the images below.
Happy chappy here. Hope this helps Good Luck Cheers Cleve Edit: here is the post I made before the firmware upgrade. I think I've worked it out. I had my PSTN dialplan1 as: Dial Plan 1: (S0) for example - it could be your phone number And that was working fine for inbound calls but not outbound. Whenever I dialed #0 and the number, it always came up as if I was dialing on the status page.
• Extract the firmware from the archive and copy it to your tftp or web server. • Load this URL into a browser: where url is the url of the location of your new firmware file, e.g. This is Sipura's firmware version 3.1.10d - feel free to use this URL to download the firmware. • Wait until the status LED on the SPA-3000 stops flashing fast. • Enjoy your new firmware:-) Note: I've read reports that echo is worse with v3.x firmware than with v2.x. I didn't run v2.x for very long - I had problems with incoming caller ID with v2.0.13g, which were fixed in v3.1.10d, and I didn't try to solve my echo problems until after I upgraded, so I can't say whether v2.x was any better.
All of the above TA's (Telephone Adapters) for the SIP protocol work GREAT but unfortunately are out of production. - But there are still plenty around on E-Bay and elsewhere selling very CHEAP. The problem with Firmware for these things started when Sipura sold out to Cisco.
- Cisco keeps all Firmware close to the heart and it's darn near impossible to find it on any of Cisco's sites. Since I've got about a dozen of these things, I've bought the bullet and built up a small collection of firmware and will provide you with instructions on how to upgrade your Sipura TA. Let's get started: - First take a quick read-through of the different methods you can use then download the version you want for the upgrade method you plan to use (see the bottom of the page). - Note: If you use the 'http method-B', you don't have to download anyting (you an use our site). Before continuing: We assume you have a DHCP server on your network so the Sipura can obtain an IP address. - If not, you better re-think this unless you know how to statically set IP address, netmask, gateway, DNS, etc, in your Sipura. Reset the TA to 'factory'.
• You will now be prompted for a password before continuing. Enter the username 'user' with the password also being 'user' (as configured in step 2.1).
I'm trying to get hold of a copy of the SPA3000 3.1.18 firmware. Yes, my SPA3000 is still alive and kicking. This is supposedly better than 3.1.20 which reduced the infamous echo problem, but accidentally introduced a DTMF bug. Unfortunately all the links that I found on the net now redirect to the Cisco Home Products page.
After 5 or so seconds the device will reboot and go back to the configuration page. See Figure 7 for full details: Figure 7: Codec and Dialplan Settings. Step 6 • Click on the Regional tab at the top of the SPA-3000 configuration. • Set Dial Tone to: 400@-16,425@-16,450@-16;10(*/0/1+2+3). • Set Second Dial Tone to: 420@-19,520@-19;10(*/0/1+2). • Set Outside Dial Tone to: 420@-16;10(*/0/1).
Also – is there a way to upgrade the firmware through Linux?
Provide for their analogue VoIP adapter. They include a Windows program to upgrade the firmware, which is of no use to those of us who don't use Windows. Fortunately, it's very easy to upgrade the firmware via tftp, http or https.
Put the.bin file(s) in a directory on your httpd server. - For discussion, let's say we put our files in the 'Sipura' directory.
Figure 3: Connecting the Sipura SPA-3000. Configuring your SPA-3000 If you purchased your Sipura from Internode, the following steps have already been completed for you.
On your phone, enter 1 1 0 #, you'll hear a voice telling you what the TA's IP address is. - Write this down! Installation Methods Windows Method You'll need the.zip file for the version you are installing. Using winzip or some other extraction software, extract both files in the archive to a folder. - It's a good idea nothing else is in that folder. It's assumed that both the TA and you're Windows box are on the same network.' Go to the folder where you extracted the files and double click on the.exe file.
• Set the FXS Port Impedance to 220+820 115nF. • Set the FXS Port Input and Output Gain to -3. • Set Caller ID Method to Bellcore(N.Amer,China). • Press Submit All Changes at the bottom of the page. See Figure 8 for details.

But now they redirect me to some Cisco business page. Searching around the site for the firmware is hard but I eventually found the one for the SPA3102 but could not find the firmware for the SPA3000.
I don't use the SPA-3000 any more; I first replaced it with an Open 812L, but now I have an runnning.
• Connect the other end to a spare Ethernet port on your ADSL router. • Attach the assembled power adapter into the SPA-3000. • Attach the cable plugged into the Local Phone port on your ADSL Line Filter to the Line port on your Sipura SPA-3000 (the port closer to the centre of the unit). • Attach your telephone to the Phone port on the SPA-3000. • You should now have a complete system, correctly plugged in. Figure 3 shows what a typical system might look like.
Enter admin into the Admin Passwd field and user into the User Passwd field. • Into the Primary NTP Server field, enter ntp.internode.on.net. See Figure 5 for more information. • Press 'Submit All Changes' at the bottom.
Thanks for that. I actually found 3.1.10 and 3.1.20 and a version or two more in the support forums on the Cisco site, attached to messages. I just finished packing up the SPA3000 actually: I am going to send it back to the vendor and exchange it. After I noticed that you could not talk to it via **** or reset it to factory defaults I sort of lost confidence that it was actually working properly at all:-) I am going to use it to connect an eircom line to my Asterisk server and have Asterisk handle the incoming PSTN calls. I use Blueface (via IAX), and voipgain and intervoip (outgoing only, via SIP) for calls. Asterisk handles all trunking and will continue to do so when I get a working SPA3000.
• Click Admin Login, and then Advanced. See Figure 4 for details. Figure 4: Advanced admin login options on the SPA-3000. Step 3 • Click the System tab.
Ta Liam As a matter of interest, How do you get the SPA3000 to redirect calls to Asterisk? Can this be done simply! 'Simply' is in the eye of the beholder And bear in mind that mine never worked nicely, and now I think that this is because I had a bad SPA3000. My vendor though is going to swap it, so that's OK and I will try again. I had it all working (ringing through and so on) but call quality was unusable.
Would it be possible to update the page the linksys.com website redirects to so that it is a little more relevant/helpful? Where is the SPA3000 firmware? Thank you for your time:) Matthew. Hi Matthew, Great questions. The SPA3000 is EoL so I guess that's why it's hard to find. I've requested that it be made available from Cisco.com I've attached the last release for you.
Enter 110# to hear the IP address.) Take note of the IP address. You will need it later.

Hello, I own a Sipura SPA 3000 with Firmward version 2.0.13(GWg) I know it's an EOL'ed model but notice echo problems with my wireless handset (some Uniden DECT with an answering machine) and see some references to bug fixes relating to echo in the SPA 3000. Probably since it's an EOL'ed model (and sipura was swallowed twice at least – by Linksys then Cisco), I can't find the firmware file anywhere. Links included in various locations (JMG guide, Whirlpool forums) lead to some Cisco support page. Is there a reliable way for me to get hold of this firmware to try it?
See Figure 9 for details. Figure 9: PSTN Line Tab Changes. At this point your NodePhone service should be authenticated and working.
After upgrading. Point your browser to the TA's IP address so you can re-configure it using the new firmware. Please note in the below table the 'Windows Version' zip files also include the same binary files that are listed in the second column.
Just as a small example I setup a unit overseas hanging off my Poundkey/FreePBX unit here and gave 8 people overseas access to call me or any landline in Australia and overseas if required, each person had their own pin number. This unit is incorporated in my new project of Astlinux as I could not install a TDM card for PSTN interface. I have become increasing disllusioned with the TDM cards due to a lack of consistent perfoemance from client to client.
Step 2: Log into your Linksys/Sipura phone through a web browser • You will need the IP address of the Linksys/Sipura device. Touch the 'Menu' key on the phone and choose 9 for Network. Does it require factory reset? Alex, I did a factory reset first, then loaded the new firmware, powered it down, then powered it up again and setup. I had some issues not being able to call out via the PSTN on a TB and a test Astlinux setup I am trying out at the moment no matter what I tried it would not work, once I reflashed the new firmware and put in the same setting as before all worked well with the first go. I have since upgraded the firmware on a standalone unit which was a real thorn in my head for a few years and no echo not a bit did not have to tweak anything.
